A crystalline world of water and stone: This ancient shoreline, weathered by countless years of water and wind, has a stark, elemental beauty. The scene has a quality, almost Zen like, which captivates me. Much like a Japanese garden the simple somewhat abstract character of these stones alludes to something more. Four of the ancient elements are represented here, and in the sparkling sun light and hypnotic rhythm of moving water a fifth - quintessence - is almost palpable. |
