Paintings of Haida Gwaii

On this page you will find a selection of seven paintings, all of which where inspired by my first trip to the Queen Charlotte Islands (as they were then). The paintings themselves were created between 1989 and 1997. At the bottom of the page is a painting that was started en route to Mexico (when I ran away in 1988 to become an artist) and completed in the ealry months of 1989. All of the paintings 'on panel' and dated 1989, were completed during my time in San Miguel de Allende, in the winter of 88/ 89 (works on canvas, date 1989, were completed after April of that year, back in Ontario). There is a picture of my studio space in San Miguel at the bottom of this page, and another selection of Queen Charlotte paintings will be posted soon. One additional work from my time in Mexico, however, can be seen in the 'Galleries' section of this site.
