Finally at the summit, 8868ft. We spend ten minutes to rest and take a few pictures then, as we can see a number of climbers approaching the ridge, we head off so as to leave them a clear root. But also, as the sun rises, and the temperature with it, the snow gets soft. That edge was perilous enough when the footing was sound. |
